The funny thing is is that it makes no difference.
Say Nintendo had
2008 H1: Prime 3, battalion wars 2, wii fit, endless ocean
2008 H2: SSBB, fire emblem, AC, wii music
2009 H1: Mario Kart, warioland shake,
2009 H2: NSMB, Punchout, excitebots/trace memory
then core gamers would be much much happier. wed still be in exactly the same position and still have access to the same games (except disaster for europe) but cos there'd be something to get hyped about every quarter and more ammo in the internetz wars people would be happier. As E3 shows us its about hype not content
