DQX will likely sell 3.5m in Japan alone (in line with DQVIII). It would be a bomb of unheard of proportions if it only sold 2m, that'd be like FFXIII selling just 900k.
DQIX is going to be interesting as it's getting the "Nintendo push next year. I'd be nice if Nintendo could work their magic and make the series as popular in the west as in Japan (as they have with Pokemon, Brain-Age, Professor Layton, etc).
I also think Other M has a very good chance of beating 2m. This looks like the first console Metorid in decades that could do well in Japan too, it's help a lot if it sold say 400-500k there rather than 40-50k.
