That's two great games created by an argument that I know of.
The other one was Yoshis Story, Nintendo wanted Miyamoto to create it using similar graphics to Donkey Kong Country, Miyamoto was unhappy about this and did the complete opposite making it look like it was drawn with simple crayons. The style stuck and rightly so.
