Iwata actually addressed this once. He's opposed to simply acquiring new studios out of the fear that the influx of new blood could dramatically change Nintendo's corporate culture ("Nintendo DNA" he called it). For what it's worth, I've seen firsthand what he means via other companies that go on acquisition binges. But it would be nice if they were more aggressive with the whole organic growth thing. |
Hmm. That is true.
Organic Growth. That is a good alternative.
Nintendo,
You need to recruit some new workers and form your own studios. We need you to churn out an abundance of games, and the only way that you can do that, without loosing your Nintendo quality, is to raise these new workers in the Nintendo way.
Organize a Nintendo Boot Camp and more or less brainwash these people into clones of yourselves so we can get some more new games of the same great quality.
P.S.
I sill want Mario Paintball Arena.
