Is NSMB Wii worthy of the title Game Of The Year?

No, with so many games being released and being just terrific, a game needs to more than just " running, stoming and jumping, ect" to win GOTY, still a good game though.

I don't understand why people should be against NSMB Wii taking GOTY, especially if one can admit it's a great game. I mean, if SMG can qualify, NSMB Wii should, too. I'm sure more than enough of us prefer NSMB Wii to Galaxy (which I find overrated anyway).

Games do not need a story or cinematics to be amazing. The majority seem to agree with me, seeing how the top selling games nowadays focus on multiplayer.
