I don't see channel stuffing as a viable option for Sony. You need to have leverage with the retailer to convince them to accept the extra shipments. Allegedly MS was able to stuff about 1 million extra 360's in the channel at the end of 2006 by leveraging the launches of Vista and Office 2007 at retail. (One of the many benefits of having the sales and marketing of retail operating systems and office in the EDD?)
