Yeah, I pointed out earlier that I didn't think he was being serious, but that I found calling games and myself "teh suck" offensive.

The two types of games can co-exist.

 

However, from what I've gathered from Malstrom, he wants console gaming to die completely and be replaced by pc and arcade games. Maybe I'm wrong.

I do think Maelstrom might need to be talk less exaggerating and more accurately, i guess its part of the success of being read by many people, gotta make sure what one writes isn't very ambigous.

I don't think he wants console gaming to die, i think he wants the focus on high production costs+focus on game elements other then gameplay to be not the focus anymore (story).

He does acknowledge alot of things like, the general atmosphere and theme of Zelda games is important (sword and sorcery and general kid innocent image) and he disdains the godam train in the new Zelda.
