Wow I guess it really is true... no matter what it seems to be with Wii in Japan, nothing is good enough. Seriously guys a 420k opening day is low and disappointing. With a first week looking to be in the 800k-900k range which would be the biggest opening on a 7th gen console in Japan. Even though FF13 seeks to break it, that the only other title to beat it would be an FF game. Really? Well I guess by their logic it doesn't matter what FF13 does, it is already doomed to not be big as well... or does it not work that way.
Seriously this is a good opener. You can't create your own expectations just to fit your views to make it seem that it hasn't met them. Expectations can't be timely for your own biases so please take those illogical notions out of this thread. This is a sales discussion, not a flame war. I expect it to be held up to high standards not child's play.
