The demo was fun. However, it won't hold a candle to God of War IMO, since they compare the two. It can be fun without having to "slap" any other franchise.

Obviously, if you tell yourself that nothing can touch God of War, you'll never even think about considering Bayonetta the superior game. How about we wait for God of War 3, then we can make a proper comparison about both styles of gameplay? ;)

I think EDGE believe that Bayonetta > God of War 1, 2 and CoO. I'll wait and play Bayonetta before I can comment on this though.

For some reason, I knew you were going to answer that... and it sucks! What can I say to that? I noticed you usually put IMO everywhere just so you can get away from "shitstorms" anytime. There's no place for potential discussions because of that.

He's just giving his opinion. It's completely fair. I think God of War is a complete ripoff of DMC, really, right down to the color of the experience orbs. The only thing it added was tedious block puzzles. I think the game is so popular, because of Kratos' "coolness" factor. The gameplay alone certainly never made God of Puzzle stand out amongst action games like DMC3.

Now, saying Bayonetta slaps the original DMC in the face, is a HUGE statement. There would be no God of War without DMC, and if there were, it would be in name alone, because that formula was invented elsewhere. It's the Dead Space to DMC's Resident Evil 4.

Now, of course, it's ignorant that a lot of GoW defenders are ALREADY trying to marginalize this game by claiming they played the demo. Playing it or not, everyone knows a demo is not at all indicative of the end quality of an actual game.

I think that it will always start flamewars when someone flames an exclusive game, no matter what it is, and while Edge didn't set out to flame GoW or DMC, they certainly don't give a shit if they flame them or not. They are stating an opinion, and there is no need to "retaliate" by flaming Bayonetta in retort.

Bayonetta will be great. That's pretty much a given at this point, imo.
