@ Lord,

"Lowered profits" of the other companies? That's an understatement, PS3 isn't profitable at all, they're drowning in red ink. Dunno about the 360, but I seriously doubt it's profitable. Could be though. Still, nowhere near Wii, which is lightyears ahead.

Everyone and their grandmother love to bash Nintendo, but the fact remains that they're one of the very most succesful and profitable companies in the entire world, which cannot be said of their competitors.

I wrote "even in whole", as in not just the gaming divisions.

You did. So then, as in, their gaming divisions are not making ahy profit, but in fact posting losses? Sorry, didn't quite understand that form your post, but that's okay, as long as we agree on Nintendo's astounding profitability.

What I meant was that the entire Sony corporation and Microsoft corporation weren't doing so well either.

Sony maybe, Microsoft though ?

Microsoft lowest profit in any quarter since the start of 2000 has been around 1.5 billion$ ( and that was ike 9 years ago).

Nintendo's best yearly profit was 4.77 billion$ ( what Microsoft typically earns these days in 5 months, ).

Nintendo's target profit for 2009-2010 is 2.5 billion$. Microsoft made 3.57 billion$ of profit for the first quarter of 2009-2010...

Right now Nintendomarket capitalization is little less than 40 billion$. Microsoft is 266 billion$....

Stop comparing what isn't comparable....

That was only on the chance someone else would try to compare Nintendo ltd to Sony corp and Microsoft corp. I know damn well they aren't compatible.
