last year when i tried out this secret santa, if you'll remember noname, i could't get it to work. it turned out that my wiiconnect24 got screwed up/corrupted where if i tried to communicate with another using it at all, it would say the service was not on when it was. the funny thing is i still got the stuff from nintendo normally, like mk wii tournaments.
to fix this, i had to reformat the system memory, this meant deleting everying on the wii including save data, channels/games, all those message board messages, even all those today's accomplishment posts. i had to spend hours redownloading all the vc/wiiwre/channel stuff (i have tons of the stuff). also it spit out a different wii code.
long story short, didn't get to do it last year, and would like to give it a shot this time.
