Also having a low alignment leader affects your reputation. Having a low reputation results in the inability to recruit most characters. In the end having a low reputation will result in the worst ending. That is why most playthroughs you don't want more than 1 or 2 evil teams. You really need to way your options, since stacking up on evil teams will make the game easier, because they are clearly more powerful then lawful groups.
