metroid prime 3, metroid prime trilogy, punch out, the conduit, madworld, muramasa, no more heros, okami, ect and so forth. plenty of good "hardcore" games and none of them were particularly successful sales wise.

Personally I'm happy about its failure because I hate Okami with a red hot fiery passion, but that aside it's a last gen port of a bad selling game.

The Wii will probably not see a really breakout non-Nintendo game, but it's hardly Nintendo's fault that the video game industry is largely lazy uncreative hacks.

*Glares at you, kung fu style*

I knew this would probably get a response :3

I like you routsounmanman, so just know I can respect you and like most of your posts while simultaneously dancing a jig of delight on Okami's grave. :D If it makes you feel any better I suggested it to a family member when they asked for an adventure type of game.  I threw up a little bit in my mouth when I suggested it, but I suggested it nevertheless and they bought it.

My point still stands, the video game industry by and large is full of uncreative barely functioning hacks who draw inspiration from crap that requires a nothing more than a 5th grade reading level. It's not Nintendo's fault third parties suck at their job. If anything if this motion control keeps gaining steam what you'll see is those old style games and companies die and be replaced by a new crop of developers. Good riddance.
