Erm, how is this even news? Do we get production updates like this from Sony or Microsoft? I mean, if they expect to sell less, they will lower production, it's not exactly complicated.
As for the "Wii 2," it doesn't make sense. The GBA to DS is not a good comparison at all, as the DS offered far more than a simple hardware upgrade. It added a microphone, an extra screen, and touch screen input. What would a "Wii 2" in 2010 offer? Ports from HD consoles? What exactly would compel the new audiences to buy this thing? Call of Duty 7?
