Doing Great with PS3... faltering with PSP. What happened?

There's a lot of things against it and that's a problem. For starters, next gen Sony should actually market it like a game system with media features like the DSi, not the other way around. Second, don't make it get inferior ports and don't make the games be like PS2 games - have more new IPs that are marketed right. Also find a way to reduce piracy - DD was a start but that turned out to be a complete failure with the PSP Go. Find some other way to combat piracy. Sony isn't really taking care of this like Nintendo or Microsoft are. Lastly, price it right.

Soriku...goto SONY and demand they put you in charge of PSP management, because you lliterally hit the hammer on the head with points...thats exactly what i meant about PSP's identity crisis

if you are completely living under a rock in terms of PSP knowledge like 99% of the people here and most of the people that own a PSP, you would  agree with soriku..

Most games that have released on PSP the past 2 years have been NEW, INNOVATIVE, and UNIQUE. Locoroco has to be one of the best among them. Patapon also comes to mind, and let me not even say Holy invasion piracy batman, sure it may seem crazy but its great.  All those games are left to the side by gamers, LOCOROCO can be considered to me ONE OF THE BEST HANDHELD GAMES IN SOME TIME. The fact the PSP is able to play ANY PS ONE GAME on PSN just makes its library even more compelling. The PS2 PORT can be said at launch and a year or two into the systems life, but RIGTH NOW? More like PSP to PS2 ports...

There have been so many amazing ip on the PSP this year, that its so sad that its being shunned by the market.. JAK AND DAXTER, ASSASSINS CREED, LOCOROCO MIDNIGHT CARNIVAL, PIXEL JUNK MONSTERS DELUXE. I am sure nobody here knew any of those games had released.. and thoe games are just the tip of what the PSP has released this year.. its not that they don't market it well, THEY DO. I mean they were releasing a crazy amount of PSP GO ads, and re releasing a crazy amount of LBP ads on tv... yet its not doing anything. Clearly the market has shifted in nintendo's favor. Sadly the PSP is the one to pay for it.

Half Minute Hero was so awesome too. I also 100% agree on Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman. Addicting game, I play it at work.

PSP has a fantastic library of games. It really is sad that so many people seem to ignore it.
