Considering how many developers (and even publishers) are going out of business this gen, I think they could stand a little advice.

And, of course, the advice of people on a video game forum would have saved them from this fate?

Not to say that forum-goers are necessarily more qualified, but sometimes top-ranking executives and analysts are stupider than most people would suspect. I mean, look at Detroit. Those execs had 30 years of losing marketshare to the Japanese to try and figure out what they were doing wrong, and didn't figure it out. 30 years. Longer than i've been alive

 

Point is, this claim that these execs know what they're doing needs to be validated by more than the fact that they are executives, and have been in the business for a while. Neither of those are guarantors of success at all.
