Party Games and Rail Shooters sell well.

Tell that to Dead Space Extraction or Wacky World of Sports.

Some certainly have no doubt, but then so have action RPGs, 1st/3rd person shooters, beat'em ups, music/rhythm, platformers, racers, puzzlers, sports, etc, etc.  There's diversity problems in Wii's library, and 3rd parties continually overloading two genres (party for the casuals, railshooters for the core) isn't going to make anyone take notice of your game.
