If they ever do something like this in a very low chance... the thing that bothers me is the items. We all know that arrow and bow, bombs and hookshots have to fit here but I would be stumbled what they would put in this wacky idea

Yeah...that's for sure...but as long as Link can't use modern item in the past, it could be ok.
