What does "natal" mean anyways?

Natal is specifically named after the city of Natal in Brazil, because one of the developers on the project is from that city. That's what i remember reading, i think.

 

But i think if Nintendo stopped making consoles, they'd develop on whichever platform the project was better suited for, depending on its parameters.

 

Though for Nintendo to go out of the console business would imply a severe change in corporate philosophy, so that would have to change with it.
