No, 299,- is still a high price, the game most associated with the PS brand isn't even released yet, the graphical gap can still be broadened, Natal(plus GT5?) can breath life into the PS3Eye(I didn't say wand) and then there's the whole 3D(GT5? Backward compatible like Motor Storm?) for films and games.
The Wii has proved that the average consumer doesn't care too much about graphics, so the current HD consoles with the right attachments will be able to go on for a long time.
Ps. if GT5 uses PS3Eye for face tracking while being in 3D I'll personally buy a PS3 straight away.
