On top of that Sony took a massive loss giving away 2 games with most of the PS3s sold. I thought they were supposed to make up the loss on the hardware by making money on the software. Hard to make money when you're giving it away for free.

no they didn't since all games are third party. at much the disc and few royalties.

Only one of the games was third party, the rest were first. My point was that they will likely sell less software which they make a profit on because people are less likely to buy more games when they already got two with the PS3.

I know Batman was the third party, but isn't Ratchet and Clank a 2nd party title since Sony owns the IP and Insomniac is an independant studio?
