I thought that was superfluous that Sony's motion controls were in response to the Wii.
I think that the regular Wii Mote was good enough for most consumers and didn't really see Nintendo improving it unless it weren't for the promise and rumors of "better" motion controls from competitors. That's what i'm talking about. The fact that Nintendo beat them to the punch as it knew they were going to try to copy isn't surprising especially after the sixaxis tilt shit that happened 2 days after the wii mote announcement.
