Yes I think third parties would go and port almost every major game. Activision for example is porting games right now without the console being HD. Can you imagine how many titles they would port if they didn't have to downgrade every title? During the GameCube era UbiSoft was one of Nintendo's stronger third party supporters, if the Wii was HD you'd see every UbiSoft title headed the Wii's way. Or lets talk about LucasArts their big proponent last generation was the lack of online, this generation they've ported big titles like "The Force Unleashed" to the Wii, can you imagine what they would do if the Wii was HD?
In the end I think many publishers and developers would love to see their products on the Wii. But at the moment they have to choose, Wii or HD and that is not a fair choice. So most publishers/developers choose HD. I think if Nintendo plays their cards right and the next console is a Wii HD with competitive graphics to the competition then we will see loads of ports.
Now the real question is, do you want all these ports? Or do you want the origional content developers/publishers are developing for the Wii?
