Isnt this the first Week Xbox360 2008>Ps3 2009 ?
Even if the difference wont be as big as the difference Xbox360 vs PS3 2008. I think that its a good achievment to outsell the Xbox360 in 3 Months by 2.5-3 Million Consoles. (1.5 Mio until last week and 1-1.5 Million over the Holidays). 40k less for PS3 its not that bad because the Xbox had its pricedrop last year. In the last 2 Weeks the PS3 outsold the Xbox by 100k there are many weeks especially the FF release in Japan will move huge amounts and the Xbox is in Japan almost not existent.
But this is not the peak christmas of the PS3. Xbox360 will be down even more 2010 but PS3 will peak 2010. That will happen if Natal and Wand have no big influence on the sales. If they have big influence the effects are unpredictable.
