NSMBW is going to be MASSIVE in Japan. Preorders rank higher than NSMB DS.

Mario is more casual though so many buyers won't preorder. The game has legs. FF is more frontloaded because more core players buy it right away so preorders are high.

All reasons which tell me the first week won't be drastically high. Around 700k seems reasonable to me.

That's what I think too. If it's closer to the OP I'd be pleasantly surprised.

This is what I earlier thought as well. But there are strong signs in Japan that the Mario game will debut huge. We must also weigh in the December factor so while I earlier would have predicted anything from 400-600k I know believe the game can debut around 800-900k. Don´t shoot me but I would not be entirely shocked to see it sell around or just under the million but that I still think is too much. We´ll see soon =)
