Sales are not the same as profits (especially since Activision basically blew half the profits of the opening week on marketing and development). Ubisoft and Activision have made it clear the Wii helps their bottom line. They aren't going to drop it just because you say so.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
