the people on theses sites *tend* to be of a demograpic which suits the hd twins.
what ive always wondered, is if the wii was 1080p like the twins, would it still have this reputation? no,,,but at what cost?
basically, did nintendo have to alienate itself from a good proportion of the 16-24 male market in order to survive?
of course i think the answer is yes - to a degree - having a less powerful console made it affordable to the mass markets and families who cant afford £300 ps3's.
they will likely always lag behind the twins each gen now and be a more affordable option - and i think this strategy will work well for them. but it does come at a cost of not being cutting edge, and will cost them a lot of gamers and a loss of "gamer reputation"
but why should they care when they pulled 30 million gamers out of thin air to buy their console! :)
i wish i bought nintendo stock when i had my cube :(
