I kinda have to disagree with the op... Sure they're aiming for a platform that would gain attention from anyone looking at any form of entertainment, but I just don't understand the whole steps part. Especially when you say they're disrupting PCs. The web browser on PC is pretty poor, and I doubt they're looking at the PC market the same way the did last gen and earlier this gen. PS2 had linux support, something that was recently removed from PS3.
