well when my wii was sent back i lost all my data from the past three years except for the few things nintendo felt like letting me transfer. it came back with new pieces in it and is "factory certified" which nintendo claims is nothing like refurbished.

apparently i was susposed to get an 8 page letter detailing why they couldn't be bothered with saving the data, but it was not sent with the console on return.

Also, i had to update from a really old firmware. It took me nearly an hour to update it. Once again, the rep i talked to afterward said they should have put the newest firmware available on it.

nintendo needs to look into getting a different company to sublet it's repairs to. whoever does it now is very half-assed.

I also took the time to explain to the rep that as far I was a concerned better memory management was a deal breaker for me next generation. I wouldn't buy a laptop that would only let me save a few select files. Both of Nintendo's competitors have ways to upgrade/back-up their consoles system currently. Will I have to rebuy VC games because I can't transfer it to the new system with an XBL - esque account.? I will be choosing a different console next time if Nintendo does not improve the ability of its' consumers to back-up and transfer data.

There is also no chance in hell I am getting any console at launch again. The only console I ever got at launch was the WII and it is the only one to fail.
