RPGs, perhaps more than any genre, are the hardest hit, over time, by used copies.  As time marches on, the problem gets worse, and worse, and worse.  The difference in new game pricing, vs used game pricing, is radically different than new paperback fiction novel pricing, vs used book pricing.

The market is saturated because old RPGs keep circulating, and an old JRPG is usually just as good as a new one, since RPGs (JRPGs in particular) are about ageless elements, like story and characters, and less so about tech advancements, or other things that cause a game to "age".

RPGs should be distributed digitally ONLY.  Every physical RPG copy in the used market hurts the sales of new RPGs.
