It all depends on the directions the devs choose to take in my opinion.
For example a traditional quest based leveling mmo with just zombies as enemies probably would'nt be great.
If however, it's designed so you can choose to be human or zombie, you can be infected or cured, and there's a few hundred players per server all trying to accomplish a similar overall goal, it could be amazing.
