Making a game 1080p raises the price and development time. the only way that games like Fire Emblem can be made is because they have low development costs. If they were proper HD with good graphics, as described in the Op then the next game would be delayed 2 years and would be very unprofitable. |
Heavy stylization ala Valkyria Chronicles could help allay that to some degree, I should hope.
