What Nintendo game/franchise would actually benefit from HD?

Why would you want a photo-realistic world for Mario? Why would you try to create a cartoony world photo-realistic? For me it would desroy suspension of disbelief. Mario should never be a character in a world that tries to resemble the real world.

Well I wouldn't want Mario in a photo realistic world.  But, despite the fact that I loved SMG (and I loved her better than you ever could!), there were a few time that I think the backgrounds would have benefitted from more animation, fantastical creatures, or larger scale.  I mean, look at Ratchet and Clank or Little Big Planet on the PS3.  Better graphics may not help, but it definitely wouldn't hurt.
