Now even if it doesn't outsell MW2 by January, I do say it's going to make more profit.

http://www.videogamer.com/news/modern_warfare_2_cost_40-_50_million.html

40-50 million to develop was already a lot, but $200 million just to market it? When movies do that, it usually covers things like DVD sales, merchandising, and other revenue streams.

So NSMBWii is definitely going to make more profit by the end of the year.

Well I think theirs a good chance NSMBW will be more profitable. Though didn't MW2 make 500-million in reveniew day one? Minus 200-mill thats still 300 mill in reveniew. Now of course the game cost a couple mill but all in all thats a large net income from the first day on sale. However Mario is probubly cheaper to develope and Nintendo doesn't need to do really any marketing to sell it, so everything is pure profit.

So there is a good chance that NSMBW is more profitable. Nintendo is known for always being the most profitable and I highly doubt that would end today.
