The trailer should be fine and will only give a glimpse. If you want to absolutely nothing about a game, avoid it at all costs. But I say still watch the trailers, if you don't want to get caught up in the hype....
DO NOT.
Go to a message board where they discuss the game (like a gamefaqs board)
Go into a topic discussing the gameplay elements / parts of he game
read hands on previews or watch video reviews / read reviews.
And don't think about it too much, people get hyped when they discuss it a lot.
