EA pokes fun at Nintendo!

As many know a game popped up recently on GameTrailers.com and even featured a home page Mass:WePray. The title was announced for the Wii on GameTrailers. Origionally I thought the trailer was so out to lunch it had to be fake but all over people were both confirming or denying the game. The website got hundreds of thousands of hits.

Well two days ago I contacted Nintendo Of America. Here is NOA's response

At this time, there are no plans to release the game you mentioned. More importantly, we do not have any information that tells us whether this game will or won’t be announced.

We often hear from excited fans asking if a particular game is going to be announced.  I don’t want to dampen any excitement you feel about the game, but I want to make it clear that until Nintendo makes an official announcement of a particular game that there is nothing we have to share about it—regardless of any rumors you may have heard or announcements from Nintendo subsidiaries elsewhere in the world.

If or when we do make an official announcement about the game, we will share all the details on our website (www.nintendo.com).  Until that happens, we appreciate your patience and ask that you continue checking the website.

Anyways today the website said Pre-orders would begin. However when you clicked to pre-order the title, an add for EA's Dante's Inferno pops up. Not only does Dante's Inferno pop up but the title is set to come to the PS3/360/PSP and not on Wii/DS. Thats right EAGames created a big parody of the Nintendo Wii. Made the Wii look like a piece of junk and it turns out it was all a rouse to gain attention for Dante's Inferno!

EAGames made fun of Nintendo inadvertedly or purposely who knows. But in a way I'm actually glad Mass:WePray was a joke though I'm pretty peived that EA used Nintendo to gain media coverage.
