A 720p Wii still wouldn't have the horsepower required for running games like Assassin's Creed and Modern Warfare, and these were designed for the classic controller anyways. Wii would have got a downgraded ugly port of Moder Warfare, with tacked on motion controls, and no port of Assassins Creed at all.
