Going back to basics did great for Wii Sports. So go back to the ideas of the original Zelda and expand on them, Nintendo. I want a massive and interesting world that's chock-full of things to do and places to explore, complimented with well-designed dungeons and fun-to-use items. Screw the cutscenes, screw the story, and let me make my own adventure.
Do it Nintendo. You know you want to! |
I'm like the 8th person to quote this, but really, this is what I want. There's a reason the first Zelda is many people's favourite. The series has been inching toward JRPG with the console titles, and I don't like it. All it needs is a bigger party and a battle system, and then bam, it's Final Fantasy with puzzles.
Zelda is supposed to be an Adventure game.

You can't be serious here right? The series actually STARTED more like the 'average' 'Jrpg'. Also have you played a final fantasy game, ever? Hell, it is like comparing Mario to Call of Duty, actually both of those games fit into the 'action' genre.
