I told netyaroze that the 360 was the reason that the PS3 was seeing so much third party support due to multiplats and the ability to share games across the two systems and that without it, the PS3 base would be too small to support as much third party support, so he started to argue that without the 360, the PS3 would have had all of the 360 owners making it larger than the Wii's, problem with that argument as I pointed out, was that at $600 most people still aren't going to buy the PS3. |
and then hardware comes into play........ fact remains the wii is one weak ass console, the ps3 sold out at 600 dollars, just low production, developers for the most part are about expanding the industry....... why did the the guys at cryteck make crysis.... technically to run crysis on it's medium specs would require a pc that would cost twice as much as a ps3 at 600. Same for alot of games for pc. You think developers would op for the weaker console because its cheaper. Funny because i have a direct relationship with this seeing I am a game development major, and my professor is a game dev. and our class requires constant work in the industry and I can tell you..... uhhhh no 360 and ps3 for 600, developers would be mking games for ps3.
you don't have a grasp on the industry, what developers are all about, we are into furthering the industry, constently evolving as the time goes on. Gaming will never put itsself on hold because of an expensive console, it never has and it never will. We learn and adapt (except valve). and ask your self as a gamer, do you wan't developers not to push technology and provide experiences never to had? Are you ok with saying in 1 generation? do you think it would help gaming as a medium to stall itself and not move foward? and if you answer yes to any of those questions then sir you are not a gamer and shouldn't be here........
