Sadly before EBGames merged with GameStop. They had a policy for pre-ordering the Wii. Either you paid for the console in whole to pre-order or you had to trade in a GameCube. I guess the idea was that if you traded in your GameCube you would be forced to pick up your Wii as soon as it came out in order for you to game.
Either way I had to give up my GameCube for my Wii, But happy Birthday none the less GameCube!
