Why does any of that matter, the only concerns for how long it lasts is one, whether it makes Nitnendo a profit, it does, and whether it sells the most, it does, so why would its shelf life be affected by third parites, if people keep buying it more than PS3 and 360 and it make Nintendo a bunch of profit, its not going anywhere.
You don't seem to get it consumers, profits and sales are all that matter to how long a console lasts. Wii has them, PS3 doesn't
