why should it be standard on every console? i bought my ps3 to play PS3 games, i played ps2 in the last gen, i dont need b/c and neither do the 120m that bought the thing....this brings it in HD and with trophies its a damn good deal, sony took it away to answer the calling of those who cant afford a 500$ machine, to lower the price

Because my PS2 broke a couple months back, and I had a stack of 32 PS2 games that are unplayable now. If those had been for the Gamecube or Xbox I would have been able to play them.

i wouldnt really know, but my guess is that you wouldnt play all those 32 games, you would play 2-5 tops, its not that big of a deal, if it truly matteres to you, you can easily get a ps2 for 40-50$....the thing is, is it worth it for 2-5 games? idk bout you, but to me its not, especially if i played them already, that gen was 4 years ago...b/c is not a need

I bought the games I expect to be able to play them. And that was my third PS2. I wasn't going to buy a third. So I sold 80% of the games and rebought them for Gamecube,PC, and Xbox.
