Many companies release games with a lot of content: but one game a year, or every two years...
Look at Twilight Princess: 50 hours of gameplay...more would be... too much... and would need even more people, and even more time, and even more money... and how long did it already take, the way it was released? 4 years? 5 years?
Nintendo releases many games each year, for Wii, and for DS... you can't ask for more and more, more games, plus more content in each one of them, as they have a limited man power available...
Do we ask Pixar to release a new movie every month? They could "maybe" do it, but the quality would be the one of a saturday morning TV show, and not the excellence we're used to with all their past classics...
The only way Nintendo could do more is by hiring new employees, buying some new 2nd parties, or doin' deals and collaborations with 3rd parties... as each "good quality" game now takes at least one year to be made on DS and two years on Wii, they need to plan all this really early, so even if they move now, we will see the results... in two years, or next gen...
Let's hope they'll do it, but for the moment, with only 4000 employees, some of them in the commercial departments, and some of them workin' on the hardware side of things, miracles can't happen... and don't forget that the usual quality is still there anyway, in at least 5 to 10 games each year... not that bad, so let's be thankful for what we've got... :)
