The motion control in super mario galaxy added nothing to the game. It would be just as good without it. Still waiting, home console. The PC is out of the question. It's an absolute joke to offer UGC on the PC. we're talking about home consoles here. |
I don't see why I would have to. Advancements aren't innovations. Also, if you played Super Mario Galaxy, you would know, it wouldn't have been the same game without IR or to a lesser extent motion controls as well as it's gravity aspects. If you are going to limit me to home consoles, then I might as well just take my word back. Even then, it still existed and just because you make limitations so the only game included is Little Big Planet, it doesn't make it the truth.
The crux of the matter is, your subjective statement conflicts with my subjective statement. For example, these sentences here are beyond a joke to me, "LBP is quiet possibly the single biggest step forward in video game design for platformers we've seen since they emerged into existance. It also offers more expression, ceativity and design aesthetics than any other game ever made." Having said that, it doesn't change your opinion and even if I do think of them as a joke I respect your authority to choose that as your opinion.
Anyway, I just wanted to bring the idea of subjectivity to the sentence that mentioned there not being an innovative platformer in a while before Little Big Planet. Something you really strayed from just to get into subject matters I did not feel like exploring.
