I remember last generation when Namco released Soul Calibur II on the GameCube, and it sold 1.5 million copies; it was a hit, and not far off the 1.8M mark set by the PS2 version. With that success, a sequel should've been a no-brainer, but when Namco made Soul Calibur III, they dropped multiplatform support and went PS2 exclusive. I don't know exactly why Namco didn't put SCIII on the Cube, but if that's how they treat a system that was built to directly compete against the competition, why would Nintendo want to try and make the Wii more like the HD consoles.
