Based on the comparison and the reason why Mario always wins.

-Distinguishable characters.

-Motive

-Intriguing story

-Distinguishable bosses with personality

-The level has a theme which unveils what the boss is all about

-Power ups

LBP deserved its scores, but NSMB will not recieve higher scores because it doesn't innovate. It's quite the same reason Uncharted games will never get a 10/10 from Gametrailers.
