How do you know people hate it? It sold well, it got good reviews, and has one of their best storytellers behind it. I mean, look at Fiinal Fantasy Tactics! My understanding FFXII was created by the same game that worked on Tactics and I don't hear people moaning and bitching about that game. Why is that? Cuz its considered a fantastic game! I do agree that the battle system is kinda akward due to its MMORPG roots but not all Western RPGs are like that.
