Yeah, I too really think that's the way to go. No voice in cinematics fell awkward, but voice on every dialogue in the overworld would get annoying, specially when you talk for a second or third time with someone and they have the same thing to say and you just cut them. Anyway, I think the jibberish sound is really benefical.
