You aren't the one one who is fine with text bubbles. Entire generations of people grew up with them.
Heck, entire series of games and jokes have come out of using text bubbles. Games like Paper Mario, Dragon Quest and Zelda itself rely heavily on the text itself. The gameplay would change if text was altered or removed.
