You seem to be missing that its not the quality of games Im talking about. Handheld games in general have a much more immediate, less cinematic style. They are there to be played when you want for as long as you want, whether it be five minutes on the loo or five hours on a bus trip. They also have to have control schemes with much less precision due to the fact that you might be playing on a bus or somewhere.
Console games are different experiences altogether, they often can't be immediately walked away from and as such often have more cinematic stylings, different styles of saving etc.
